Do vegetarians eat fish?!
Do vegetarians eat fish?
well do they?!!
what about yogurts? do you HAVE to give up yogurts?
Answers:
Some vegetarians, like me, eat fish and yogurt, as long as the yogurt doesn't have any geletin in it. I don't think it's actually considered vegetarian, but it's something like that that starts with a p... I think other people said it. But I consider myself a vegetarian, so if you want to eat fish, I say go ahead, and if you want to, give it up later. That's what I decided.

yes they do eat fish and yogurt. as long as the fish and the cow is a vegetarian
It's all about personal choice. You can give up dairy and fish (and eggs) if you choose to be Vegan, but there are different fields of vegans. Pescetarians eat fish, and octo-lavo vegetarians eat eggs and dairy.
actually im not sure, a fish is an living animal, like in finding nemo "fish are friends not food", yogurt is ok i guess, it just uses the milk that came from a cow, its not like ur eating the cow
I consider myself vegetarian. I eat fish and yogurt. Of coarse, there may be others who are vegetarian and will not eat fish or yogurt.
vegetarians DO NOT eat fish. people telling you otherwise are not vegans or vegetarians and are probably just guessing.
a person who does not eat red meat or chicken, but who eats fish is a pescetarian.
yogurt without gelatine is safe for vegetarians to eat.
There are different kinds of vegetarians. For example, there are supposedly "Pescatarians" people that just eat fish and vegetables but that's under debate due to the fact that they still CONSUME MEAT. Many vegetarians/vegans don't consider them close to the veg-lifestyle. Although in my opinion, it's a step further into it.
Yogurt can also be eaten by both lacto and lacto-ovo vegetarians.
But if you're considering getting into a diet I assume? Than I would just do whatever makes you happy. If you don't want to quit eating fish in order to fit into 'vegetarianism' than don't. Don't worry about labels and just stick to whats in your comfort zone.
You only have to give up yogurt if you don't want to eat gelatin, animal fat...or if you're becoming a vegan (no dairy/meat.) But you can eat fish, but eating fish is called a pesco-vegetarian. Good luck! I would personally be a lacto-ovo vegetarian...no meat/fish/gelatin.
Some vegetarians eat fish n yogurts n some don't
real vegetarians dont eat fish... and you can eat yogurt if you dont want to be a strict vegetarian because it contains gelatin, an animal byproduct that is all the nasty scrap stuff that comes from cows that isnt used as meat (i.e. hooves, hair, skin). you could buy stoney field yogurt though, which doesnt have any of that stuff, or "o soy" yogurt
real vegetarians should not eat fish. however, they are allowed to eat dairy products like cheese, milk, and yogurt. just no dead animals!
No, fish is a living being so the flesh of fish is meat.
It wroth noting that counties there have a huge fish diet they almost have no heart disease and there is increasing edvience that a fish based diet is just as healthy as a veg*n diet.
And yogurt is ok, as long as you don't put meat in it.
no, fish is meat. There is no such thing as a pescitarian(look in a dictionary). It is a made up term by people who want to do the right thing by not eating meat, but cannot commit to the entire thing. I found a lot of teenager like to call themselves this.
However you can call yourself anything you like, but actual vegetarians do not consume any animal. I never really unerstand why people want to be called a vegetarian when they still eat meat.
As for yogurt, some contain geletin(which is not vegetarian). There are some out there that do not have geletin. Many of the natural yogurts do not contain geletin.
fish is still consider living things.
Vegetarian do not eat fish and fish products like fish oil supplements or fish sauce. Many asian countries like to use the salty fish sauce as seasoning like kimchi, fried carrot cakes, etc.
Yogurt can be made from milk or soya milk. Some yogurt contain gelatin which vegetarian do not consume. Thanks!
when i was one i did : ) and my uncle has bine one for as long as i can remeber and he always eats fish : )
Vegetarian: Person who does not eat flesh. Fish is flesh, so, no. Some morons call themselves vegetarians and still eat fish. They're just being morons. THey're not vegetarians, there pescetarians. They confuse the carnivores and make life more difficult for us TRUE vegetarians.
MOST times when someone says "vegetarian" they mean lacto-ovo vegetarian. These people still consume milk and dairy products (and eggs). So, yes, they can still eat yogurt.
VEGAN vegetarians (vegans) do not eat meat or drink milk or eat eggs. so no, they would not eat yogurt, which is a milk product.
WHY DOES EVERYONE THINK THAT VEGETARIANS CAN EAT FISH. FISH, BREATHING, ANIMAL, MEAT, NOT VEGETARIAN!
This isn't anger towards you, it's all the "supportive" people that think it's alright to eat meat, and call themselves vegetarians.
Anyone in this board that eats fish, and calls themselves a vegetarian, get it right, you're a pescatarian, if you NEED that unique label to you... other than a meat-eater! I don't understand why you would give false information to consider yourselves a vegatarian. This girl just had a post about if it's hard to be a vegetarian, and you are going to make it harder, by telling her that eating fish is alright? That it's a part in a VEGETARIAN diet?!?!?!? What the HECK!
The yogurt, if you're a lacto-ovo vegetarian, you CAN have yogurt. Vegans, or people that do not consume dairy do not consume yogurt.
I eat fish ALIVE.
