What book should I read on veganisim?!

Question:

What book should I read on veganisim?

any books you recommend?

Answers:
So far my favorite book is called Vegan Freak: Being Vegan in a Non-Vegan World
http://www.amazon.com/vegan-freak-being-...

It is a great help on giving tips on vegan living, pride in your choices, dealing with rude people and good stuff like that. The writer also has a great sense of humor and she writes in a way that you can feel like you are sitting around chatting.
:)

Another really interesting book is called The Pornography of Meat
http://www.amazon.com/pornography-meat-c...
It is really interesting and helps you look at your veg*nism in other ways. It deals with the "thingafacation" (turning a someone into a something) of women as well as the animals we use for food.

Good luck

Here's an article by a former Vegan...

An oldie but a goody.'Laurel's Kitchen', (c.1976) written by a friend of a lady in Berkeley in the '70's named Laurel who was a vegetarian, and made good coffee. Book read like a novel and also like a cook book.

I think Laurel and the women writing this book were far from ' thingafied', but they were still 30 years behind the time being it was 30 years ago, but way ahead for their time. (Women do a fine enough job thingafying themselves without anyone's help Lillyan.)
