Can you freeze carrots?!

Question:

Can you freeze carrots?

Can you freeze carrots and how?

Answers:
Yes, but why freeze carrots when you can freeze chicken hearts for later consumption?

Yes. Moisten the carrots, put them it a Ziploc bag, and put it in the freezer. Glad Press and Seal works even better

You absolutely can freeze them, but you can't eat them raw when they thaw out - you'll have to cook them. Wash them well and dry them. Slice them up. Put them on a cookie sheet covered with wax paper, spread out, and place in the freezer. After the slices freeze through, put them in a heavy duty freezer bag. Get as much of the air out as possible. Seal the bag and you're good to go. That way you can get out as many or as few at a time as you want.

I know for sure that cooked carrots is easy to freeze and will work fine as i often freeze dishes with carrots in it. However I highly recommened that you cook the carrot first. Just buy less carrots at once if you find they go off too quickly but freezing a carrot whole may not be the best idea.

I believe you can as long as you blanch them first. I think that's what they do to most frozen vegetables you find in the grocery store.

yes, you can. Peel carrots, wash, cook and cool dry them.
Chop into cubes or match sticks. Put in a good zip lock bag. Stores about three months.

They are perfect for emergencies. Use in chicken pot pies, salads or even juiced them if you like.

give them a blench and then drain off the water and make packets and freeze them. packets means portions required per meal.

i freeze my carrots 6 months to a year

yes you can freeze them but don't deep freeze them
