give me a good substitute ( and when i say good, i mean good) of beef, chicken and milk. Can i still wear wool?
Answers:
Tofu is really good once you know how to cook it. You can also simply make dishes you usually eat, but leave out the dead animal and add more vegetables.
:)
Here are some good fake meats you can find in many standard grocery stores:
* YVES- has the very best ground "beef"... the other brands or ok, but not as good
----- I like to use this to make garlic pasta with olive oil sauce and tacos. Bocca isn't bad for spaghetti
* Bocca Chick Patties- I don't know why, they just taste like a good, generic chick patty :)
* YVES also has the best burgers
* Garden Burger- has a good "All American Burger" Bocca's vegan burgers are not bad
----- When making burgers, I cook them using onion powder, garlic salt and crushed black pepper... this makes them taste burger-y
* Morning Star Farms- has great chicken and beef strips. These are excellent for Chinese dishes
Those are the main ones I can think of at the moment. I also like fake bologna
* Yves also has good sausage patties. Gimmie Lean has some good ones too. The key to making good fake sausage is to use rosemary and cook them in oil.

Those were all vegan. Some good vegetarian fake meats are
* Most anything by Morning Star Farms.
--- They have good sausage patties, mini corn dogs, chicken nuggets and buffalo wings. Their bacon is ok, but nothing to do a dance over.

If you want to go veg for health reasons, you probably do not want to eat a lot of the processed stuff.
----------------
For milk, I personally use Light Silk soy-milk. You may want to start with vanilla or chocolate, or even rice milk (less of a strong flavor. Remember, you can take it in steps if you want.
First stop eating animals, and then later you can try switching over milk etc.. You can wear wool and still be a vegetarian, but if your reasons have to do with cruelty, you may want to think about donating your wool, leather etc. to Goodwill.
Good luck.

You don't go into being a vegetarian or vegan with your first thought being of your tastebuds. Yes we eat good food, but no, you can't eat things the way you always have. You have to have a conviction and determination to do the right thing, or you won't make it past the social pressure.
If you're serious, start with knowledge. Read "Diet for a New America".
there's always veggy burgers and soy milk
most vegetarians only refain from eating meat, so what you wear wouldn't be affected...
if we were not supposed to eat animals why did god make them out of meat?
u can wear wool if u want
u should try tofu and veggie burgers, im a vegan and i have a veggie burger every day for lunch, theres tons of good vegan and vegetarian resturants and soymilk is a good substitute for milk, plus u can order all these meat that acturally contains no trace of anything related to animals from new york, also try vegetarian meatballs and soy ice cream, trust me soy ice cream acturally tastes really good =)
The whole world opens up when you break a habit.
After a week, everything will taste better, just give it a chance.
granola - like junk food to me :)
Garbonso beans
sweet potatoes
bosc pears
Honeydew melon
grapenuts with Vanila rice milk - Ooo Yea!
grapenuts in pasta + tomato sause - surprisingly like beef, but with more texture.
