rice and beans (mixed together) is the best vegan complete protein
If you eat eggs, that is the most complete protein of any food of any kind.

Chickpeas, lentils, nuts, tofu, beans, and if you add lightly steamed dark green leafy vegetables, this helps your body to utilise the protien more effectively

tofu and nuts are a good source of protein (I'm talking about peanuts) soy beans i think are also a decent source of protein

Nuts, beans, tofu, and wheat gluten(seitan) are all good sources, however, the BEST and little known source is leafy greens. Current research suggests that vegetarians and vegans(and everyone else actually) should consume 1-2 bunches of greens per day. The easiest way to do this is in green smoothies: 1/2 fruit, 1/2 greens, water, and dates, honey, lemon or whatever tastes good to you. Bananas and mangoes work great.
Mushrooms are a good choice, beans are great, soy too.

Beans are an excellent source of protein. There are many varieties to choose from, so as not to get boring. Beans can also be added to salads quite successfully, along with other vegetables. Vegetarians do not have to go hungry.
