I've been told to eat fruit only in the morning ? Any good reason for this?!

Question:

I've been told to eat fruit only in the morning ? Any good reason for this?

Answers:
Your body uses a lot of energy to digest food. If you eat a heavy meal in the morning you are sapping energy from your body before it even gets going! Fruit is the easiest of all foods to digest. It takes just 20 minutes for it to leave your stomach and start providing your body with nutrients and energy. You won't get any energy from a big, traditional breakfast for several hours. You've already got a ton of energy stored up from your night's sleep and your body is ready to go. Fruit is very cleansing and full of water, too, so it helps you keep you hydrated for the day ahead. I LOVE FRUIT IN THE MORNING! I do have to have something more substantial by about 11:00 though and if I'm feeling extra hungry in the morning a banana works wonders.
Edit: I totally read the question as "I've been told to eat only fruit in the morning" - sorry. Let me add then, that I make it a point to not eat fruit with other meals, but as a snack by itself and only after two hours have passed from my last meal (but I'm sort of anal about digestion). I often will have a piece of fruit as a late-night snack.

Help reduce cramps during the afternoons?

I've ALWAYS eaten an apple or a banana during the afternoon and sometimes at night too, never the morning!!

XD

Fruit provides you with nutrition and carbohydrates
Fruit would be a good morning meal becaus it gives you energy , but also a healthy way to start the day !

Who told you to eat fruit only in the morning? Was it your doctor or dietician? Because I really question this thinking...you should be able to eat fruit as much as you'd like, unless you have some specific dietary restrictions. If you are trying to treat something, or have sugar or insulin issues, I can understand where this may be any issue, otherwise, you should be able to eat it whenever you like.

That a bizarre advice...Fruits are good at every time of a day. Don't trust anything from the person who gave you this advice!

Who told you? Your doctor? Dietician? If you have some specific health issue, you should follow your healthcare provider's advice. Otherwise, there is absolutely no reason why you should avoid fruit in the morning. Eat it with some plain yogurt and honey and sprinkle with wheat germ or grainola. Eat as much as you want as often as you want.

thats dumb. eat fruit whenever you want
