Where can i buy vegan sweets from?
would like to purchase jelly sweets for vegans, as normal jelly sweets have gelatine in and other animal products in them.
Answers:
This is a great site for vegan marshmallows, jellies, and gummy candy.

http://www.veganessentials.com also has these products.
:)
If you use http://www.happycow.net you may be able to locate vegan friendly grocers near you. If you have a good co-op near you, they may carry these products.

Try this link: www.petakids.com/candy.html
They have a long list of vegan-friendly sweets. You can also find a lot of information by googling "vegan candy."
If you try some of the health food shops like Holland and Barret's they might have some or at least be able to advise you on where you can get them. They are also available on line
go to a whole foods store or there are vegan stores around big cities but you have to keep your eyes open because they are hidden!!
Hey. Let's Do Organic has a lot of stuff and they are available online or at health food stores (see below).
I would not trust Peta's "Accidentally Vegan" list, because some of the products on there contain animal ingredients. While they state that the amount of animal products in the items on the list is insignificant, everyone is different, and I think most vegans choose not to eat those items, for health reasons and also for least harm and there are other options available. Also, it's easy to avoid junk food; it's not like it's a medication they have to take. See the disclaimer on their page for more information.
Take care!
This is a great site and if you are not in the UK you can go to the homepage and it will tell you how to change the currency what suits you.You just click the food and candy/sweets and chocs away!

Thorntons the specialist sweet and chocolate shop do a soft jelly fruit sweet but have noticed that turkish deilight in some well known brands are now animal product free. If anyone out there ever finds suitable jelly babies I would love to know.! !
Hi,
You can buy really nice vegan sweets from www.veganstore.co.uk
Just click on the 'sweet things' link and you'll be in sweetie heaven! I think this is the easiest option, although a lot of whole-food/health-food shops now sell vegan sweets too, so if there's one near you it might be worth looking there too.
Enjoy! :)
If your in the UK most health food shops stock these.
I am somewhat hooked on the gelatine-free fruit flavoured jelly bears from Holland and Barrat!Sad seeing as I'm 25 but never mind!
Japanese/Asian stores, look for konyaku flavoured jelly cups. Usually come in a bag full of small cups in various flavours.
Oh, they are a choking hazard!! Says all the white people. Funny, I never hear about all these Japanese kids chocking etc. Seems, I guess, western children do not know how to chew or something -- they just inhale their food.
If you live in or near NYC visit Sweet and Sara bakery.
You probably find something online. You don't have any vegan bakeries or whole foods stores or anything?
I don't know where you live but The Eighth day on Oxford Road in Manchester sells vegan sweets.
If you are in the UK Tescos, Co-ops and Morrison's own brand 'American Hard Gums' are vegan- they are listed in my animal free shopper guide.
I'd reccomend you buy the book.
