Question concerning vegetarians with pets?
If you are a vegetarian and you have an animal that eats meat like a dog , or a cat.
Do you let them eat meat ; or do you feed them veggies also?

Definitely let them eat meat because that is what their body is suited to. The human body is not designed to process meat efficiently, but carnivores like cats and dogs are.
people and animals are both meant to eat meat dont try and force you pet to eat veg it need meat
Many vegetarians do feed their pets a vegetarian diet. They make special vegetarian dog and cat food for this purpose. It is technically possible to have a healthy animal this way. As an animal person, I do not feel this is the best thing for the animal. It would be better to have animals that are natural vegetarians, like rabbits, instead of natural carnivores, like dogs.

Besides if she did not want to eat what we have for dinner she would not, Animal proteins screw with her stomach just the same as ours
if its your choice not to eat meat and you think your pet should too then get a vegetarian pet but if you have a cat or dog or some kind of meat eating pet then you should feed them what they require not what you want them to eat and if you don't want them to eat meat then you shouldn't have bought a carnivorous pet in the first place
My dog prefers meat. The closest to a vegetable he will come is popcorn or corn tortilla chips.

As much as I'm against eating meat myself (I'm a vegan) I wouldn't force my dog to eat that way. Humans don't have to eat meat in order to survive...dogs do. If you put your dog on a vegetarian or vegan diet they could very well die!! So think before you act....that was a good question by the way
I bought my dog soy free premium dog food and he went and ate all the soybeans that I had dropped in the yard from the garden. He might have wanted to go vegetarian.
I brought home a bit of turkey from a holiday with the family and the cats wouldn't eat it. I feed my cats quality meat cat food. Either organic or all natural. I go as ethical as I can with the understanding that those very pointy teeth mean they are true carnivores. They are allowed to eat free range bugs from the house. I take the mice they catch away from them and bring the mice to the far side of the property. This is so the cats don't get parasites and so that the injured mice don't die somewhere and stink up the house as well as sympathy for the stupid mice. The cats are from the cat shelter.
There are some good quality vegan foods out there for dogs and cats. The most well-known brand is Evolution. From the research I've read, dogs do really well on a vegan diet, as their digestive system is just like ours. Cats need taurine, which is only found in animal products. The evolution food does contain a synthetic taurine. I feed my dogs and cats regular dog and cat food, since I'm not made of money and can't afford to special order vegan pet food, which is very pricey especially when you add on the cost of shipping. If I ever move to a place where I can purchase the food at my local store I will probably switch them. In the meantime, I have to be satisfied with the fact that I am doing my part as much as possible to lessen the suffering of animals by being a vegetarian. It's not about being perfect.

If it was a dog,yes,(considering that the oldest dog in the world was a vegan dog,29 years old border collie ina AUS.) but a cat,no.I don't think I would keep a pet cat,I just don't think you can accomadate all of a cats wants and needs,I think you can with a dog because you can take it on walks,etc.
Cats are carnivores and need meat,dogs can survive off as a carnivore or herbivore.
