Mock lobster?!

Question:

Mock lobster?

Has anyone ever had mock-lobster, and what does it taste like, if it can be described? Sounds odd, but I'd like to try it!

Also, if you have had it, what is the name of it and where did you purchase it?

Mock lobster is usually Haddock. Here is a recipe you can use to make it yourself:

1 lb. haddock fillet, defrosted
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. salt
1 bay leaf

Cut 1 pound of haddock fillet into 1 inch pieces. Cover in saucepan with cold water. Add rest of ingredients. Boil for 15 minutes - no longer. Drain and serve with melted butter

It doesn't taste exactly like the real thing, but it's really close and a heck of a lot cheaper!

TO start with, your on the Vegetarian section. Most fake Lobster is made with Fish. I had some vegetarian fish that taste like fish. I hate mock Abalone that I wont eat at this point because its imported from China and it's made from wheat gluten.

As I write this, I am humming a b52 song.

the fake lobster made from fish, is edible, but does not take or feel like lobster.

I found this recipe.
