Why do meat eaters not feel guilty?!
Why do meat eaters not feel guilty?
How can they take the life of an innocent animal and not feel any remorse?
I personally believe in having good morals and there is no way I could take he life of an innocent animal and not feel remorse. Do meat eaters even have a heart?
Answers:
You are talking about morals, Would your morals regarding animals be the same if the only drug that would save a close family member was tested on animals. Would you stand by your morals then. I think not. On the other side of things with animals and meat, if you would be told tomorrow the only thing that you could eat to keep you alive was meat would you again stand by your morals.I think not.
everyones entitled to make their own choice, you reckon you have good morals but your sure narrow minded enough arent you?
if we didn't eat them, they wouldn't be bred i nthe first place and would have no life at all. I'd rather have a life and be killed humanly at the end rather than just not exist at all.
I dont feel guilty!
I'm doing my bit to stop the world getting overrun with chickens!
:-]
because you are right, I have no heart, some cannibal ate it.
i eat meat and when i see the cows and sheep all in the field just waiting to die i do feel bad but because its so easy and fuss free to buy a steak or lamb chop and it tastes so nice i jut do without thinking.
if i had to kill the animals myself i probally would be a veggie
Actually, I think to indulge in a totally unnatural diet in a world where most of your fellow humans struggle to find enough to eat and certainly do not have the luxury of choosing their protein source is very arrogant, egotistical and narcissistic.
We are not designed for a vegetarian diet, to adopt one is the product of living in a decadent society. How dare you talk of morals? Have you any?
It is one thing to criticise some intensive farming methods. I may even share such concerns, and avoid certain meat products because of them. But to babble on about 'innocent animals just displays a colossal ignorance and immaturity. Grow up!
Can't type, hands full of steak.
unfortunate play on words there - do meat eaters have a heart - don't mind if I do, thanks.
I think it's wrong the way you attribute human feelings to animals. And NO, I have no guilt.
Ask a lion about screaming victims. Are they heartless or just trying to survive in a carnivorous world? I don't like the feed lots and the mass production "farms" but hey we are consumers and they are capitalists!
Do you know that some plants will scream when about to be boiled? Anything that is killed will suffer, even plants. Don't you feel guilty about that carrot?
Do your part in stopping this senseless murder of poor plants: STOP EATING.
It's the right thing to do.
there are meat eaters who kill animals like hunters and butchers..
and there are those who have never seen an animal being killed and just eat meat without a second thought.. majority of meat eaters are like that...eg... a child eating hotdog just eats
it and does not think anymore about it...
I am now a vegetarian because I have seen animals being slaughtered and it s enough to send shivers down my spine..
i swore never to eat meat after that
Yawn yawn your questions are getting boring. What is the point of trying to impose your personal views on people who are not interested.
Would you go to the Religious section and try and convice a person of one faith that they should follow another because it doesn't agree with yours?
I don't feel guilty because meat is delicious.
Vegetables have feelings too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
Hello, my good herbivore. I will explain to you why I have no remorse in eating meat. First of all, I was fed meat even from before I knew what it actually was or where it came from, i.e. as a baby. Second of all, I don't believe that animals are really a sentient form of life. Thirdly, I only really care about other humans.
it is the natural order of things, humans were never built to be herbivores, we're carnivores, if we were an animal out in the wild, we would have to kill other animals for food to satisfy our diets and when, anyway, was the last time you saw someone actually catch and kill their own meat to feel that bad about it ...... !
its your choice to be vegetarian, vegan or whatever, but every other person also has a choice to eat meat, or not!
Don't you feel guilty that you kill innocent microbes everyday when you take a shower?
Don't you feel guilty when you take antibiotics?
Don't you feel guilty that you get an exterminator in your house to kill termites?
Don't you feel guilty when you swat and kill a mosquito?
Don't you feel guilty when you drive your car and create emissions that are harmful to the environment?
If God didn't want us to eat meat, He wouldn't have made it taste so good.
The fact that man has incisors says that we are meat eaters. That's how we evolved.
What a ridiculous question.
You've had some kind of strange upbringing if that's really what you think.
I pity you and your brainless thoughts. Turn your IQ of 22 to a more useful pursuit, like what colour nail varnish looks best or whether you'd look better in red or blue.
Everytime you breathe, you kill thousands of micro organsims. If you have taken the choice to kill these, then why not other animals? If you think life is sacred, then it is sacred for all. Or, do you have a list that you feel comfortable with and if so, why should we adhere to your chosen list?
Are you saying, you never wear leather, never taken any drugs or NEVER used, eaten or wore anything that has been created using or killing an animal. I very much doubt it. I actually like vegetarian food but I can not stomach being lectured by hypocrites.
Humans are carnivores!! Have you ever seen a lion eating lettuce? Why dont you get a lion and try and convert it to vegetarianism, because you will have about as much luck as you will have converting me. If you wish to not eat meat that is your personal choice and i respect that but leave meat eaters alone. I eat a balanced diet containing all the food groups, all things in moderation. I like the taste of meat and will never give it up.
We are not 'taking the life of an innocent animal' - for one, we didn't kill it. We are only eating it. Also - if you were living in the wild, you wouldn't survive, I'm afraid, if you keep up that attitude towards killing animals. Eating meat is part of a healthy diet - we need meat for proteins, to stay healthy.
So don't give us that crud that meat eaters don't have a heart. What - so you think cats and dogs don't have a heart because they eat meat?
We are natural carnivors, much like many of the 'sweet' animals that I am sure you love. Do you hate all meat eating animals because of their natural diet ? Do you think you would even see cute little lambs and calves if no body ate them ? would people breed them for fun ?
It is the nature or the world for animals to eat other animals and being vegatarian is your choice but it is going against the nature of life.
Do vegatarians even have a brain ??
Your right im a b*tch...........wheres that steak gone!?!?!
Homo Sapiens are omniverous i.e. we eat both meat and vegetation. As a consequence I have NOTHING to feel guilty about.
In fact I have a very good butcher who supplies me with what he calls "exotic" meats. I have to date, apart from the usual meats supplied in supermarkets also eaten: Ostrich, Kangaroo, buffalo, Kudu, Impala, and Camel.
I don't kill the animals i eat them. And to be honest no i don't feel guilty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Carnivores - 20, Vegetarians - 0.
meat eaters win again in the game of life, as they have done over millions of years.
The majority of meat eaters don't witness the animals being killed. If they did they may think twice. However, I was brought up a meat eater so it is just a way of life to me. That's what these animals are reared for anyway.
I have never taken the life of any animal. I dont feel guilty about eating meat because (a) it tastes good and I like it. And (b) Humans are omnivores. We have evolved to be able to eat meat as well as vegetables. We are the most highly adapted animals on the planet and hence. top of the food chain. It is as natural to eat meat as it is to take a dump in the morning. By choosing only to eat vegetables you are going against nature. You are lucky enough to live in a plentiful western world which affords you the chance to make a choice to only eat vegetables. People in other parts of the world have to eat what they can get their hands on
