respect at the animals?
do you disgust the meat?
your religion doesn`t permit you eat it ?
is a question of taste?

what do you think about it?

Answers:
Wll I choose not to eat meat because:

1) Can you imagine the billions creatures that are born and bred in cages just to appease the appitites of mankind? Thats a horrible life that I wouldn't wish on my self or any one else. Would reconsider eating meat if it had been killed in the wild where it lived a natural life.

2) I believe that humans we're originally ment to be vegetarians, for example, the intesines of carnivores are much shorter than that of an herbavore the average length of a humans intestines: Five feet.

3) I feel much healthier and much less guilty

ummm i can't eat animals because i think about how it's a dead animal IN MY MOUTH!

i couldn't live with myslef for eaten something that used to have a life, and i've done it sonce i was born so it would make me ill to start eating it.

im a vegetarian because i dont feel i have the right to end somethings life for my own pleasure. i also dont agree with the way animals are treated at farms. i dont believe there is any humane way to end a life so free range wont do it for me. .
id be a vegan if i could just give up cheese.

To let out more gas, have a shorter life and have no sex drive

Respect for the animals, and now I'm disgusted to meat as well. Probably because I've been one for almost 4 years.

If I was a vegetarian, I'd do it because it is a very healthy diet not because of the dead animal (sorry, I don't feel a lot of sympathy for the dead animal).

Personally, it was a spiritual thing for me mostly. I just don't feel right about killing something to eat when it's certainly not neccessary. Also, when I began to do research about becoming a vegetarian, I saw some animal cruelty videos on PETA and the like and was absolutetly horrified. It was digusting and I made my decision right then... I've been a vegetarian for at least six months, but I never really miss meat. It almost actually disgusts me once in a while. My health has also improved which is also one of the reasons I began to research vegetarianism. If you're considering becoming a vegetarian there are tons of very informative websites out there that also offer support and more extensive reasons as to why people do it.

how about so your intestines and colon don't get impacted with undigested red meat...
lower cholesterol...

well how good do you feel about putting a dead cow in your mouth while eating a hamburger? it all maters what you think while eating meat if it disgust you then don't eat meat but if your thinking how good it taste then your brain probably doesn't care.

I think the top reasons had to be health and religious belief.

Vegetarians are more likely to be health conscious people than the rest of us.

Some vegetarians also do not believe in the killing of animals for food(some religions). They rather not eating meats to avoid associate themselves with killing of any animals

im a vegetarian because i saves animals, its incredibly beneficial healthwise, and it helps the environment... basically the only reason you shouldnt be avegetarian is if you just love meat too much. but then look at your pet, and imagine eating it.. it might help you not want to eat dead animals.

I hate the taste of meat, it makes me feel sick and I also love animals, alive. We also have a pet lamb, who is so incredibley cute and smart, smarter than my dogs and they can do paw! :D

My reasons for becoming a vegetarian in the first place were:

I think when I was young I had an idealistic vision in my mind of a happy cow out in the field for his/her whole life, then, when he/she dies of natural causes, is used to feed the family that has sheltered and protected him/her. It was a wakeup call for me to realize that animals are kept in hideous conditions where they are never outside and are cramped in dirty buildings. The whole mad cow disease epidemic educated me about the fact that they are feeding the remains of cows to other cows. That, combined with the fact that I was lending my money and support to an industry that was destroying the environment helped change my mind. Mostly, I don't want to put things in my body that have come from such horrible conditions and have been so stuffed full of fat for the sake of flavor that the animals can't walk upright. I also don't want to support this industry and these practices with my money. I am not against the idea of eating meat in general.

To tell you the truth to be honest I was a practically addicted meat eater I loved burgers and sausages and all sorts but when I was 8 I heard that Paul McCartney (my favourite Beatle) looked at lambs in a field and he became vegetarian and I done the same. I thought that lamb was beautiful but steps were about to be taken. I became vegetarian when I was 9 my mum fed me vegetable pies and quorn sausages (vegetarian alternatives). I became vegetarian because I thought thats animals deserved better than a painful step. And being a vegetarian has changed my life.

i don,t like meat i,m animal activist and is more healthy

Because killing an animal when you can have healthier life on an meat/animal product free diet...what's the point?

1.i love animals

2.when i see meat i feel sick

3.animals are the only creatures that care and then stupid humans eat them

4.im no low life murderer

5.i have respect for all living creatures

6.animals are my life without animals i would rather be dead

7.there's a space in my heart for animals like when i see a picture of a cow that's been slaughtered by selfish freaks i cry i cant help it.when people say evil stuff about animals i get soooo upset and angry they are so innocent and there's nothing they can do to stop people from hurting them

last but not least

I HAVE A HEART!

Because I don't need to eat animals to survive, and I don't believe in causing harm to eat something not nessicary for my survival.

respect at the animals? yep
do you disgust the meat? yep
your religion doesn`t permit you eat it ? umm no but my religion is one of the reasons i think animals should be treated humanely and its wrong to eat them but thats more how my religion influenced me not what my religion said
is a question of taste? never eaten meat, but i dont know how to cook meat so undercooked meat probably wouldnt taste nice
and the enviroment and my health
basciacally all the reasons on viva www.viva.org.uk

I hate the thought of all those dear little animals dying for me. And the thought of eating meat makes me feel sick.

I dont like the taste
I feel healthier not eating meat
I dont want rotting flesh in my guts
I respect animals and dont think we should eat them
Maybe we can feed criminals to animals and they can eat humans, what would people think of that?

I always called myself an animal lover and yet I ate meat for 21 years without questioning it. While surfing the net I came across animal rights pages which turned my stomach and made me go veggie. More research led me to become vegan within a year.

I truly believe that if everyone was given the full facts of where their meat, milk and dairy came from, meat eaters would be in the minority, or at least more humane methods of farming would be used. Unfortunately, it's a multi-million pound industry, which spends further millions making sure that people keep their eyes firmly shut.

I became a vegetarian at 7 and a vegan at 16-both times my decisions were based on Animal welfare concerns. However not long after I became a vegan I changed religions to a faith that values animal life as much as human life and so that gave me another reason.

I also feel that an animal food free diet is healthier.

I'm veggie because:

1) The thought of a dead animal in my mouth makes me feel physically sick. It's flesh *shudder*

2) I dont like the taste of meat, I used to eat it and it just tasted rotten. Veggie food is so much yummier mmmmm

3) It's a healthier diet

:)

xx

wanting to know what is in what i eat. most meat in packaged meals is so random in quality and ingredients.
