I am a vegetarian, but it is by my own choice. I would resent having someone else think it is their business what I choose to eat. Why do you think it is your place to control this other person?

why would I want to persuade them to do that? half the people here would be out of a job..

Every day, about one-quarter of American adults eat at fast-food restaurants. Cheap, tasty, and convenient, fast food is loaded with saturated fat and calories, and it's low in fiber and nutrients. Thanks in large part to fast food, half of America's adults and one-quarter of its children are obese, double the rate of a generation ago. Even some popular chicken nuggets, which many consumers consider a healthier alternative, are flavored with beef extract and contain twice as much fat, ounce for ounce, as a ham burger.

Besides the long-term health risks of a high-fat, high-calorie diet, fast-food chains have indirectly changed the way cattle are fed, slaughtered, and processed, making meatpacking the most dangerous job in America and increasing the risk of large-scale food poisoning. In his new book, Fast Food Nation: The Dark Side of the All-American Meal, Eric Schlosser describes fast food's hidden dangers.

I'd reccommend you browse this book! Good luck!

Depends on the reason WHY you want them to stop eating the fast food.

If it's a weight problem - go at it from a 'I love you, and your important to me, and I don't want you to be in poor health'.

If it's a money problem - figure out how much they spend, and help them with menus.

If it's something else - no clue.

Fast food, in and of itself is NOT a bad thing. You can eat a balanced meal eating nothing but mcdonalds all day - IF you want too. But to excess is usually the problem

Good luck.

I actually do that by showing them videos that show how the animal is treated before it is made into meat. It has worked many times and my friends have actually been eating less at afst food places. If you want any videos, I recommend you search in www.peta.com. They have so much information! Right now what they are focusing a lot in is the KFC restaurants. Those chickens are teated very badly. All sad, but true.

I wouldn't. There is more then enough information out there drilled into our heads about how bad it is already. If someone chooses to ignore it, they are not worth persuading.

1 mcdonald's burger contains meat from about 1000 different cows. i'm a meat eater but still that's just sick.
