veggie for a long time!!
the chicken style steaks in breadcrumbs are nice with chips and beans for a quick meal.quorn pieces are a bit rubbery,i dont like them personally
Tastes like crap.
I heard they are dewcent, but they use egg in all their products, so needless to say I avoid them.
Erm well my parents went veggie and they hate quorn. Said its tasteless and er gives you wind! If I were you I'd just buy one you like the look of and give it a try. The worst that can happen is that you'll be eating beans on toast that night!
I personally don't like it, it gave me a horrible taste in my mouth.
The Quorn mince is great for spag bol or lasagna, and the chicken style pices are good in a sauce, but not so much plain.
The texture is too like meat for my liking. Tofu sausages etc are nicer.
I like the Quorn, but you have to add spices, etc, otherwise it doesn't have too much of a taste.
I use it for stir-frying, with veggies, and soy sause. It takes in the flavor nicely.
I've never had them. I prefer morningstar, tofurkey and smart deli for my fake meat needs (lol) but i dont like quorn for a reason other than flavor. Their main ingredient is some weird vat grown microfungus whatsit and eating it would give me the creeps. I try to eat whole foods not meat subs anyway. If you want the meat taste, there are many much better options.
hey!
go you dude quorn is actually really nice i love it my faves are chicken style pieces and i like jacket potato and cheese with it lol try all of them and then you'll find one you like
luv Sarah x
I'm not a vegetarian but I do use Quorn occasionally for a change. It doesn't taste exactly like meat, I don't think you can really describe it - but it is nice. I use the pieces to make stews and casseroles and cook the steaks in various sauces as I would do with chicken breast. The mince isn't anything like beef mince - it has a weird taste to it! Not keen on it - I suggest you try the pieces/steaks first.
i like some of their stuff (sausage rolls, sausage and quorn pieces are nice-the pieces i cook with a sauce though)
i detest the quorn mince and the quorn fillets that have some sort of coating - they are awful
Hi there, I'm a veggi but the rest of the family are meat eaters, however, we all seem to get on ok with Quorn. The mince works really well in chilli, while the cubes of Quorn are nice with tomato sauce, pasta and mozzerella cheese. It can be bland on its own but does spice up very well. Even my 20 year old son will demolish it with gusto. I do hope this helps xx
