Is ALL Semi-Sweet chocolate chips a vegan food?!
Is ALL Semi-Sweet chocolate chips a vegan food?
i bought a bag of some today the brand is Springfield? and it is called " CHOCOLATE CHIP, SEMI-SWEET"
But my problem is no where on the bag is it labeled "dairy-free". is it because it's not or because it should be obvious?
Ingredients:sugar, chocolate liquor, cocoa butter, butterfat (milk), Soy lecithin added as ab emulsifier, and vanilla
is it vegan??
PLEASE AND THANK YOU
Answers:
No. Milk is not vegan. Why don't you try carob chips?
butter fat is not vegan.
Hey, you could check things online or at the store before you buy them. I hope you return it and buy a nondairy bag, if possible, to not create demand for cow milk products.
Sunspire organic chocolate chips are vegan, as are Whole Foods and Trader Joe's.
the ingredients say milk, i'm pretty sure milk is dairy which is why it is so delicious
Not Vegan. Buy dark chocolate chips. What makes the difference in dark chocolate chips and milk chocolate is MILK
Hi Forever 21,
The ingredients you gave indicate that this package is definitely not vegan. Vegan is devoid of all animal products and this contains butter. However, I am sure you can find animal product free semi chocolate chips at a store that specializes in vegetarian and vegan (animal free products) foods.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further concerns or questions:)

I would definitly think so almost all contents are plant derived which is all natural.. So go ahead indulge and enjoy.. :)
Anything with an animal product in it is not vegan.
It should be obvious that it contains dairy. That butterfat comes from milk.
Try dark chocolate,or vegan chocolate at health food stores.
Most of the times when coco is used, it is used with milk solids or somrthing like that. So chocolate/ coco products are not vegan in my view.
