MEAT SUBSTITUTE

1 onion, chopped
1 stick butter
2 cans Campbell's beef bouillon
4 1/2 oz. jar mushrooms, with juice
1 1/4 c. UNCLE BEN'S? converted rice

Put in crock pot on low for 4 - 6 hours

CHICKEN/BEEF MEAT SUBSTITUTE

3 tbsp. gluten flour or instant gluten
3 tbsp. soy flour
3 tbsp. unflavored TVP
3 tbsp. nut meal
3 tbsp. beef or chicken style seasoning
2 tbsp. nut meal
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. onion salt
2 med. egg whites
1/2 to 3/4 c. water, as needed for thick dough

Mix and form into a ball. Steam for approximately 45 minutes. Slice and serve. Use as a meat substitute in dishes, sandwiches, etc.

These are a couple of my favorite recipes. I am sure you will enjoy them too.

You can use the same ingredients to make so many other meals, including stuffed pastas, tacos, stuffed peppers, etc.

Vegeburgers

Yield: 6 burgers

1 block soft tofu
1/2 stick of very finely diced celery
4 very finely sliced scallions
1-2 finely diced jalapenos
3 very finely diced carrots
5 very finely diced large mushrooms
2-3 Tbsp. dark soy sauce
a fistful of cilantro or parsley, finely chopped
1 egg substitute
10 Tbsp. fine white breadcrumbs
Slice tofu thinly, wrap in towel and put a heavy weight on top. Allow to drain for 1 hour.
Fry celery, scallions, jalapenos, carrots, and mushrooms until translucent, 4-5 min.
As vegetables cook, crumble tofu with fingers, then mash with a fork. Add soy sauce, cilantro, egg, breadcrumbs, and fried vegetables. Mix together and form into patties.
Dust patties with more breadcrumbs and cook on a hot pan with oil.
Serve on sesame buns.

Amazing Meatloaf

1/2 C. onion
1 Tbs. olive oil
1 1/2 C. textured vegetable protein granules
1 tsp. Basil
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. Oregano
1/4 C. fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 tsp. Salt
1 C. bread crumbs
1 1/2 C. boiling water
1/4 C. tomato sauce
Chop the onion and sauté it in the olive oil until soft. Combine with the other ingredients. Press into a non-stick pan and bake at 350 for 20 minutes.

Pepper Steak

Around 3 cups gluten (see below)
1 red bell pepper
1 green bell pepper
Some duct tape
1 big onion
1 t garlic powder
Some Spike
Gluten

8 cups hard wheat flour
3-4 cups cold water
Broth

8 cups water
1 cup tomato sauce
2 big onions, chopped
Some spike
5-6 T vegetarian bullion
1/4 cup soy sauce
Some garlic powder

here's one from Burger King: ( not all Burger Kings make own veggy burgers.. the ones that have veggy burgers say so on the window of the door before you enter!)

one 16 oz can of Pumpkin mix in Light Soya Sauce and enough oatmeal & wheatgerm to make mixture to form balls
if you want to make fake meat balls or fake hamburgers. Fry in oil for hamburger patties. For balls for spagetti dip them in
oil and they can be cooked with the spagetti!
Optional ingredients: seasoning salt and diced onions which is often used in you know what

Here's another..sliced beets thinly soak in medium soya sauce for about 3 hours. Fry in oil result you get fake fried
Balogna!

Here's another take a Yam and slice it length wise thinly
soak in soya sauce and fire in oil result Fake Fried bacon!
optional: you might prefer to dip strips in cornmeal for to get a crunchier result!
