Vegans & Vegetarians?!

Question:

Vegans & Vegetarians?

Would you find the video in the link below helpful for your causes against animal cruelty?

It's pretty brutal, and I'm not gonna lie... I'm an omnivore that gets meat right from the land, and this sh!t just about made me barf... this is cruelty at its worst.

Seriously, I know the video is messed up, but I bet it'd do wonders for anti-cruelty campaigns. Let me know what you all think please. Thanks.

Answers:
This is the most gruesome film showing cruelty to dolphins. It is my first time to see dolphins swimming on their own blood.

I have learned that in some parts of the world, such as some areas in Japan and the Faroe Islands, dolphins are traditionally considered as food, and killed in harpoon or drive hunts. Various fishing methods, most notably purse seine fishing for tuna and the use of drift and gill nets, results in a large amounts of dolphins being killed inadvertently. Accidental by-catch in trout nets is common and poses a risk for mainly local dolphin populations. The species is now functionally extinct.

That's why the year 2007 has been declared as (International) Year of the Dolphin by the United Nations and United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). The idea was launched by the UN's Convention on Migratory Species and the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society (WDCS). Thanks for sharing the video.

That is actually a clip taken from "Earthlings" narrated by Joaquin Phoenix. The whole movie is up on youtube. There are three parts to it,just do a search for it on youtube and choose the one that has 3 parts(I tried to give a link for it but everytime I submit the answer it says "error 999").

I'm not sure how successful it would be. I am already a vegetarian and against animal cruelty, and could not stomach watching the video. I got upto the part with the bloody water(not too far).

Videos that people will not watch are not really effective. Most omnivores do not like to know what the animals they eat go through, so I feel a video like this with animals that people eat(cows, chickens, etc) would not be watched, and therefore would not be effective.

yes its bad, they shud be sacred creatures leave em alone , that video was gruesome its sad but true.......

thats sad...no living being deserves to be treated like that...

Thanks, but not really. It is so sad however meat eaters are unwilling to watch such videos.
It comes down to living in denial, ignorance is bliss I guess.
Until a person makes a conscious choice, nothing will sway them.
I have found the videos I post on my blogs are met with horror yet people say I couldn't watch, then go and cook meat for dinner..... go figure!

This is what made me turn vegan:
