Is there an alternative to cow's milk and soya milk?!
Is there an alternative to cow's milk and soya milk?
Without going into too much detail and grossing you out, I basically have IBS and whenever I drink dairy or soya milk it gives me the "you know whats". Is there an alternative to dairy & soya milk, or is there lactose-free cow's milk?
I've tried being vegan, but my digestive system just can't handle soya
Answers:
You can buy lactose free cow's milk in tesco/asda/sainsburys etc (called Lactofree about 1.50 for a litre, in the tea and coffee aisle with the UHT milks) or there's also rice milk which you can buy from Holland and Barrett and bigger tesco/asda etc. They are both slightly sweeter than cow's milk but taste OK.
Yeah Go TO Morrisons
I've never tried it before, but I've heard of rice milk. My friend's son can't have dairy or soy milk either, so he drinks rice milk.
try breast milk
Almond milk or rice milk.
Rice milk would be worth a try - it doesn't seem to go gacky when adding to hot drinks, it is quite sweet though.
Hi, I know someone in a similar situation and she said that rice milk was delicious. I would think u can get it from holland & barrett if not Tesco or Sainsbury's. I take Buscopan for my IBS as nothing else seems to work. You can contact my friend Kimberly Mack at the Aloe Vera Centre by e-mail- she suffers from IBS and gives excellent advice. I don't know the address so try googling it. Good luck :)
why dont u try carabaos milk it is very nutritious!
if ur lactose intolerant why r u drinkingand eating dairies in the first place?
Goat's milk is also delicious, I used to drink it as I had excema very badly.
That may be an option as it is cheaper than rice or almond milk.
It is mostly obtained organically, and is a safe alternative.
rice milk can be found in many supermarkets and health food stores. have you tried goats milk? i know a friend who has ibs and she's able to drink that. Also coconut milk is good.
Try goats milk. I used to have it when I was young to help my excema
try and get hold of goat's milk!
For one, all milks are overtly concentrated and need to be approached with caution.
Hemp milk, multi grain, oat, almond, rice, peanut....
goats, rice, cocconut..... why not try that cats milk in the pet food section thats lactose free??? just kidding....
I dont know if they are very closly related but i recently got rid of an ulcer in my stomach that i had 4 years and that the doctor told me i would have to take medication for the rest of my life and it acted up when i drank milk (very painful) I stopped the pain by making a tea out of a few table spoons of honey and ground cinnamon every morning and it got rid of the ulcer and also settled my bowels as well
might be worth a try
rice milk..but it's quite expensive and tastes like cat's p*ss.

Hope this helps & all the best!
try almond milk or rice milk. Personally I like the Blue Diamond Almond Milk best, especially the Vanilla and Chocolate flavors. Rice milk is not too bad either. You should be able to find it at a local health food store.
goats milk .
You can get lactose free milk from your local supermarket. There is also goats milk and more recently horse milk! It has a sweeter taste than cows milk and is very good for you.
