Good praise to ask for a vegetarian meal in Italian?!

Question:

Good praise to ask for a vegetarian meal in Italian?

I’m going to Italy for vacation and was thinking of printing business cards asking for a vegetarian meal in Italian that I could hand to a waiter.
Does anyone know a phrase in Italian I could use?

Answers:
"Per cortesia, avreste piatti vegetariani?" = "Please, can you provide me vegetarian dishes?"

Be careful to clarify if you don't eat fish, since is supposed some vegetarian "don't eat meal" but do it fish.

So: "Per cortesia, sono vegetariano, avreste piatti che non contengano ne carne ne pesce, per favore?" = "I'm vegetarian, do you have fish with no meal or fish in it, please?".

If this can help, a list of vegetarian/vegan restaurants in Italy, by region: http://www.viverevegan.org/guida/ristora...

Edit:
Connie gave you another good option (even better since is shorter than mine :-) just be aware "vegetaliano" is Italian for "vegan" (which is anyway also used), while "vegetarian" is "vegetariano".

If I were you I would not give the waiter a card. I would learn the phrase and also a few like eggplant, pasta, and salad. If the waiter doesn't understand, you can always write it as an alternative.

I'm sorry I know I didn't really answer your question.

I would put this in the italian section, where they know how to speak it.

Yu'o give me no meat'o

When I lived in Italy . I always told the waiter .. " Per favore .. Desidero un pasto vegetaliano .. Assolutamente senza pesce o carne .. grazie ............. translation .. Please .. I desire a vegetarian meal .. with absolutely no fish or meat .. thank you .. It worked well..have a great trip !!

It's not hard to find vegetarian italian food.
