How much weight would you loose if you were vegan?!

Question:

How much weight would you loose if you were vegan?

I used to eat meat. and i've been vegetarian for like 2 months and haven't seen any results at all. is it just my metabolism? would i see progress if i became vegan?

Answers:
I am a vegan and I haven't lost weight since I became one. I didn't eat dairy or meat before though. it depends from one person to another. if you eat lots of dairy then become vegan then yes you might see progess in the long run.

Depends on how much more leather weighs than your new man-made material shoes. :)

Vegan or vegetarian are not weight loss plans. If you try to treat them that way you will only end up with bad teeth, peeling fingernails, and other medical problems. If you are a vegetarian and you want to loose weigh you need to up your protein and work out. If you wanna be a vegan and you want to loose weight, it is not easy because you need protein for muscles. I would suggest going to the nutrition store and taking some amino acids. L-Carnitine is important! If you are only going the veg route for weight loss...quit now and change your diet!

Good luck!

Not eating meat alone WILL NOT LET YOU LOOSE WEIGHT. You can still eat meat and exercise and loose what you want. without the proper nutrients in meat your body will not function properly without supplements.

You will lose weight on a vegan diet *if* you cut out all the junk. Eating lots of whole grains, tofu, fruits, veggies and even nuts is a great way to lose weight. Cutting out cheese and eggs, which have nothing your body needs and lots of fat and calories is a great way to to get started.

Just beware of vegan junk foods (soy ice cream, cookies, chips) because even though they are cruelty-free they are not fat free and should be eaten only occasionally if you are trying to lose weight.

If you do go vegan as long as you are eating a varied diet the only supplement you need is B12.
Good Luck!

its what and how much you eat, rather than being a meat eater or vege or vegan....you can be fat or thin and be either one.
knowing what you are eating and learning about nutrition and calorie needs is the first step in losing weight.

depands what do you eat, don't eat junk food, eat home cooked food and boiled food for 4 weeks avoid cheeses then see the diffrence all the best.

Veganism is not a weight loss diet. You can even gain weight being a vegan. It's all about what vegan foods you eat. Stick to fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Avoid refined foods and limit your salt intake.

Although it is easy to lose weight on a vegan diet, that is not the goal. I have lost weight since turning vegan because I do not eat cheese anymore. I was a big cheese fan when I was a vegetarian. If you are also big into cheese and drink a lot of non-fat free milk, you will probably see a little bit of a weight loss over time by turning vegan.

You would lose somewhere between 3 and 435,980 pounds - give or take 7685 pounds.

This is only an estimate.
