Pricey Vitamins?!
Pricey Vitamins?
I want to take vitamins but I am Lactose Intolerant and lots of commercial vitamins use lactose as a carrier. I went to a health food store and found natural vitamins meant for vegetarians but they were $30 for a small bottle! Are there any good natural brands that aren't as expensive that anyone knows of?
Answers:
Spend the money and buy the good health food store vitamins. I've taken them for 25 years (I'm in fair-to-poor health otherwise) and I recently had a heart attack, but had no damage at all to the heart muscle. The doctors are puzzled, but I think all those years of taking the expensive vitamins just paid off. Just my opinion.
What we use =) we buy at sunflower market if you have those in your area.

I don't really know of any cheap ones, but your health is probably worth 30 dollars. Try going without vitamins for a couple of weeks first though and if you don't experience any symptoms of deficiency (tiredness, acne, etc) then don't worry about getting them.
Go to www.puritanspride.com
They sell high quality vitamins at a fraction of the price.
You don't need to spend alot of money for high quality.
There may be some low quality vitamin brands out there(ie.Centrum) but Puritan's Pride has excellent prices for less.
I've been purchasing from them for years.
I believe they still have the promotion going on now, which buy 1 get 2 free, buy 2 get 3 free, so forth and so on...
There's also Swansonsvitamins.com, vitaminshoope.com and vitacost.com.
All with reasonable prices.
I take Vemma daily. It's a complete liquid vitamin and essential minerals supplement. I feel great - finally. I truly feel a difference in my health as a result of taking it. As far as I know there is no lactose in it. I buy it online at www.thesecretnutrition.com. They have an ingredient list, I believe. And it is all organic and wildgrown. And when it comes to your health, every dime is worth it. I would rather spend a little more on vitamins and a lot less on medical bills.
