Why is bottled water more expensive than gasoline?!
Why is bottled water more expensive than gasoline?
Why does a litre of water cost less than a bottle of water? Think about how expensive it is to drill for oil, to bring it over from the Middle East and to refine it. Then compare it to bottling water.

Thats a great observation. Bottled h2o is one of the great rip offs out there today. Just look @ all of the goofs defending it in these answers. I would be willing to bet that they cry every time gas goes up a cent. I agree the entire process of producing gasoline is extremely more costly than water in bottles that make you look cool if you carry them. Don't forget about the high percentage of tax included in every gallon of gas. To the best of my knowledge that isn't tacked onto costly water. Lastly I think most people have access to a grocery store that has a filter station where you can likely get quality filtered water for about 30 cents a gallon.
Because people are dumb enough to buy it instead of using the tap.
becuase water keeps you alive idiot. lmao ; ]
water more?---not here--besides lets start drilling again back in our country and put some of our americans back to work
I don't know about where you live, but here a gallon of gas is about $3.43 - I can get a gallon of water for about $1.00-1.50, so I'd say that gas is a heck of a lot more expensive than bottled water.
Look at cough medicine. It is like $150 a gallon.
because water is healthy for you. water is actually worth your while.
It's not THAT expensive to get the oil! the ppl who get the oil are just greedy- the same thing as with everything greed rules the world.
...if they can do it they will. thats how money is made.
Lmao, I thought of the same thing. Its crazy, I guess boiling water is not cheap these days, lol
the other type, is from a spring, so thats why its exspensive, then they wanna be smart and add minerals in it, that cost us even more money!
If you factor in the oil companies' profits, I think they sell for about the same. The oil companies are counting on the fact that you can't use Evian to fuel your car.
Because there are no bones in Ice Cream.
Your question makes no sense: Why does a litre of water cost less than a bottle of water?
But I think I know what you mean. Sorry, but I can get a bottle of water here for less than 2 bucks, but my gas is 4/gallon. So you are wrong all around?
It just goes to show how people are so stupid, they can't live without anything trendy.
If I served you a cold glass of bottled water and a cold glass of water from Boston, New York, Seattle..or any one of many many cities... you could not tell the difference.
Some places do have crappy water.. (Florida) but for the most part, people buy water because they are stupid stupid stupid.
Why does a litre of water cost less than a bottle of water??
I don't know where you live... but neither a gallon bottle of milk or gallon bottle of water cost as much as a $3 gallon of gasoline around here.
ever tried drinking gasoline?
Because you can't drink gasoline.
Hi. I've heard the question before in various locations that are accustomed to long tenure of a specific economic stack. The reason is for the same as crude oil. Contamination from illegal entry to well territories and aliens bringing animal cells to pristine water territories makes distillation or tapping either impossible for former water source or very expensive.
In areas where there are constant shipping interruptions, even the bottled water that is expensive often has organic matter that is not harmful, but interferes with the reason for buying bottled water - preference in the incorrupt mineral or absence of mineral content that provides hydrating refreshment for the type that has ground water or reservoire or treated water as original source for water drinkers.
Because consumers are exremely stupid...put gas in a breety container and you can charge more for it...of wait, don't give them any ideas...
Just because the label is pretty with clear blue watery scenes....doesn't mean it didn't come out of a normal tap...
simple rule of supply and demand, for starters. then what yuppie want to be seen drinking no-name water when every ones knows that Perrier comes from ( oh la la) french source ( in France ) its called one up-manship. i can afford this really expensive water, so i am better than you you popper. no no-name 2 Lt bottle of carbonated water, .89cents, Perrier 750 ml 1.99 to 2.49.
plastic packaging and demand. People in 3rd world countries can't quench their insatiable thirst with diesel
becoz we r dumb
