Which is better, the Tassimo Brewing System or the Keurig?!

Question:

Which is better, the Tassimo Brewing System or the Keurig?

I know the Tassimo the 169.99 model has a water filter. However it looks cheap to me. The keurig offers a great variety of all drinks. Has anyone had the Gloria Jean K-cup cappucino coffee. How does it taste?

Answers:
I haven't tried either of these machines, but in general, something that makes one thing and is expensive (I checked the price of that Tassimo) usually will make a good cup of coffee. A machine that makes lots of different drinks probably won't be specialized to make as a good a cup of coffee as a machine that specializes. So it depends on what you want. do you want a really good cup of coffee or make lots of different drinks with a so-so cup of coffee and so-so other drinks...hope this helps.

I got the Platinum Edition Keurig machine for Christmas and I absolutely LOVE it. I use it 100 times a day! It has 4 different options for cup sizes so you can even fill your travel mug in the morning. It has TONS of flavors of tea and coffee. The other great thing about mine is that it came with "My K-cup" which is basically a reusable Kcup which you can use to make whatever you want. You could use Dunkin' Donuts Coffee or Starbucks or loose teas if you wanted to so you aren't limited to just what they offer. I also use mine just to get hot water for tea bags, oatmeal, soup etc. I have the Gloria Jean cappucino and I love to make it and put some frothed milk on top! It was well worth the money. You can search Ebay and get a great deal often as well! Good luck!

I have the Tassimo and I love it. I'm not familiar with the Keurig, but I did compare the Tassimo to some other more expensive systems and in the end, decided the value for the price was simply better. From another poster's description of Keurig, it appears that Tassimo has more limited options. But what I love is the ease of it: you pop in a disc and a minute later out comes a hot freshly brewed cup of coffee, espresso, latte, cappucino, hot chocolate or tea. Several varieties of coffee: Gevalia, Maxwell House, Seattle's Best and some others I'm forgetting. My favorite is the Gevalia latte-it makes it for you by inserting first the espresso disc, then the milk disc. The Tassimo also does cappuccinos complete with the froth and everything. It also has Tazo tea (it's a new thing, I think) and some of the tastiest hot chocolate I've had. Probably not as good as some of the much higher end machines, but for the money, a great value, in my opinion.
