Why some people drink coffee without adding sugar?
Black thick Coffee without adding sugar will taste bitter. Why some people prefer it?

diabetes? some ppl just like the bitter taste? some ppl need the strong taste to wake them up?
takes all kinds to make the world, but i'm not one of those black, thick coffee lovers :D
i can't drink sugar for health reasons, but i love the taste of coffee, so once in a while i'll have a coffee--decaf--without it! once you get used to it, it's quite nice. other people's sugary coffee smells weird to me! oh, and also, when i used to be able to eat sweet things, i would enjoy the combination of sugarless coffee with the sweets. it is kind of an aquired taste.
once i got some coffee without sugar at a deli here in new york city, and the middle-eastern man who worked there said "you must not be from america! europe maybe?" i said no, i am from here. so i guess it is often europeans who enjoy coffee straight as well. i have seen them drinking espresso. kind of like beer--you wouldn't put sugar in that, right? :)

it depends on the coffee...really good coffee should not be bitter at all. Sometimes I like sugar and cream in my coffee, but drinking it black adds another dimension to your taste buds. I think it's just personal preference.

well, they might not like sweet coffee. i mean it's there coffee not mine, i like mine w/splenda and creamer.
