Sweet tea or un-sweet?!
Sweet tea or un-sweet?
Is sweet tea really just a southern thing? Or do people in the north like it too?
Answers:
Some in the North like it too. BUT in the south they assume everyone likes sweet tea and this is how it is served up.
In the north they serve unsweetened and let the person decide sugar or equal ? sweet or not...
SEW I hope this helps a little teensy bit
Sweet and I'm in the North.
I'm in the north and I like it.
I'm not from the south, and my iced tea can only be plain with lemon. My husband however spent a few years in the south and loves his sweet tea!
Sweet tea is the best :)
Although im from the south i know lots of people from the north who like it too!
I'm southern and I prefer un-sweet, quenches the thirst much better!
Yech....I love iced tea with NO sugar in it. If I wanted sugar, I would drink koolaid.
i think it's safe to say that sweet tea is a favorite among everyone =]
honey ya honey
Mostly a southern thing, I believe but it is served up north also. We have a lot of "snow birds" that pass through this part of Georgia on their way to Florida for the winter and most of them go EW at 2 things.. Grits & Sweeet Tea!! lol
I'm from mid-California
I always have a bit of tea with my sugar. ;)
Well I am new at drinking tea , I was a coffee drinker till i started getting panick attacks and now I am try tea out I have to have sugar in in but I want to lessen the amount to go all natural . :O}
I'm in Kansas and I don't like sweet tea in fact I can't stand it. My husband prefers his sweetened.
Hot tea !
I think the main thing is that if you go to a restaurant in the north and ask for tea, you will get *hot* tea which you can sweeten with sugar and add lemon and / or milk to. In the south you will get a tall glass of *cold* tea, either sweet or un-sweet. At least that has been my experience when I go visit family in Maine!
i HAVE to have my tea iced & sweet.....warm & unsweetened is just disgusting!! Although, I've had southern sweet tea & it is just TOO sweet for me!
i live in missouri
i'm from chicago
unsweetened no lemon
and NOT from a fountain soda machine. it tastes to chemically.
fresh brewed only....... sun tea rocks!
Sweet
'Sweet Tea' certainly is a southern thing. It is mainstream in the south, like you can order it at McD and someplaces dont even have un-sweetened tea.
I mean in the south you can order 'pre-sweetened', but for the most part if you ordered it in Cali, they would just hand you a sugar packet.
