Answers:
Vitamins in the water may not be as nutritious as the vitamins in food.
Biochemically, the vitamins in the water may behave differently in the body than vitamins that naturally occur in foods from nature, such as apples or broccoli.
While I don't know which brand of water you drink, I can assume that if it tastes like Jell-O, it's artificially colored and/or sweetened, both of which could be harmful.
Researchers believe these beverages are the top cause of childhood obesity in America. In addition, studies have shown that gulping down sweetened beverages can depress the body's immune system, just the opposite of what you hope to achieve from consuming vitamins.
It may harm the teeth. Medical journals have recently published warnings about acidic beverages eroding dental enamel.
Many nutritionists believe that vitamin water is simply a gimmick.
It's not that they aren't good for you, it's just that they don't do anything for you that plain tap water does for you, that is, keeps you hydrated.
Synthetic vitamins don't process in the human body and since they don't, they don't do anything for you.
More and more studies are coming out to prove this.
The best place to get your vitamins and minerals is through food.
Water is good for you because it keeps you hydrated.
its like drinking sugar water . .
i have to agree with the other answers on this one. It's not that it is harmful to you, but it's probably no different than taking a regular vitamin pill or eating a balanced diet.
I think it's probably more of a psychological effect on people that buy these vitamin waters. it makes the person think they're being more healthy, and that in itself, could make that person feel better, feel healthier, and could make them more active or get more exercise, which is not a bad thing. If it is, then it is indirectly a good effect on someone drinking these waters.
