Yeah, it's in like every chinese restaurant in my area. That's because I live in Maryland. Go to this website: http://www.bubbleteasupply.com/index.php...
If you want to learn how to cook it.
There is one in our town. They just throw large tapioca in the drink. Kind of looks like frog eggs to me.
I think PF changs has it (not sure of restaurant name) on campus restaurant in the student union...may be too wierd for anyone but students..they like to be different....

Yeah,I've heard of it and made the mistake of trying it. The "bubbles" in it remeinded me of those oil filled bath balls you use in the bathtub and they taste like crap. I almost choked on one of those stupid bubble balls b/c they're too big and you need to suck really hard on the straw to make them go through. Never again will I waste money on it.
Yes, ive had bubble tea, but im not sure what your asking...
Bubble tea is kinda gross, but usually you love or hate it. At one time my town had a bubble tea/ ice cream store that went out of business pretty fast, and it was in a great location. I ran a coffee shop and a company sent me samples, the "bubbles" were annoying to make and had to be replaced often, I think every 4 hours. (at least that brand- not sure about other brands)
Yes I know what it is and it tastes very good in my opinion. I think it sells very well in some markets, not in others. One market that I think it would sell good in is a college town or near a university. That's where I tasted mine. I found a recipe on allrecipes.com It looks right.
INGREDIENTS
* 1 teaspoon white sugar
* 1/3 cup pearl tapioca
* 1 cup brewed black tea
* 2 tablespoons milk
* 4 teaspoons white sugar
* 1 cup ice cubes
DIRECTIONS
1. In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups water to a boil. Stir in 1 teaspoon sugar until it dissolves. Toss in the pearl tapioca. Cook for about 20 minutes. Rinse, drain, and refrigerate until chilled.
2. Pour tea, milk, and 4 teaspoons sugar into a cocktail shaker. Stir until the sugar has dissolved and the milk is well mixed in. Add the ice cubes, and shake so the whole drink can get cold. Pour into a glass, and add tapioca.
Notes
This drink can be turned into Bubble Green Tea if you use green tea instead.
If you can find it, use Chinese rock sugar, or bing tong, to cook the tapioca with.
I found bubble tea retailers mostly in an Asian populated area. I don't really like it though. Those big tapioca's, just aren't my thing. The drink, like the juice, is good though. I just don't eat the tapioca.
