Mum used to say vinegar...but make sure you wash it out a few times at let it sit.
Good ole mum!
Fill the pot with hot water (not boiling), stir in baking soda. Let stand for several minutes. Wash and rinse well.
You can try soaking it in a solution of bleach and then wash it really well. I think the effectiveness will depend on how long the stain has been allowed to set. Plastic is porous so it will often retain unwanted colors and smells (and sometimes flavors). Best bet is next time use glass or metal!
Try bleach
Soak it in Vinegar. You can also clean your coffee pot by running vinegar through it twice, then plain water twice.
soak it with diluted clorox bleach
I don't know if this works for plastic, but it sure does work for glazed pottery.
Dip a wash cloth in water and wring it out. Dip it in salt and rub your coffee stains out.
Good Luck!
the stain is in the plastic. it will always have the stain. I use bleach. it gets most of it off but still looks tented. Sorry not much help.
2 cups white vinegar, 1 tsp kosher salt, 1/2 cup baking soda
It makes a foaming paste and use it to scrub the stains out. If it doesn't work the first time, make more & leave it in the sun with an added 1 cup water. It Should work....:)
