How clean can a penny get with coke?
Knowing that coca cola is able to clean a penny, but can it actually break the penny down? I don't want to lose mass of the actually penny. I just want to get rid of the tarnish around it. =S please help and thank you!

Coke works better because of the sugar and the acids it has.
Leave them over night in the glass of vinegar or coke
In the morning take them out and wash them. Let them dry. Tada! You have shiny and clean pennies!
It shouldn't break the penny down. No way could coke break down copper.
If you want to clean the battery acid from you car's battery posts, then use coca cola. If you want to clean a penny, the best thing I have used, or seen, (don't ask how I know this), is Chamoy. Chamoy is a mexican candy, well, sort of, it's more like redstuff with something like plum or peach pits floating in it. May be it's tamarind I have never tasted it, because it looks like a sac of blood, but I know people who were addicted to the stuff. It seems to have the acid of a rain that would eat it's way to the core of Earth!
