while drinking my coffee this morn i was torn with which sweetener to add...which is better for you-health or taste wise?

Answers: personally i think anything that is artifical or "made from real sugar" is bad for you. go with natural stuff...just regulate your quanity intake. why would u want to put a whole bunch of chemicals in your body? of course this is coming from a smoker. splenda Splenda. It is made of sugar, but no calories. sugar - always pick the natural ingredient over the chemical man made ingredient. Sweet-n-Low. People says it gives you cancer...but thats only if you have like 30 of them a day. i prefer splenda, but that's just me. =] ? sugar sugar. it is natural and good...as long as it's not really bleached. that's how they get it white. natural sugar cane sugar is the best.

splenda is a aspartane which is very much so not good for you....gots some really bad stuff in it. it has been known to cause cancer in lab rats during tests.

sweet n low is nothing more than crappy splenda with flavoring, Sugar is much better than all of those other artificial sweetners. Splenda claims they are made of real sugar, but they aren't. Actually the makers of Equal have a pending lawsuit against the makers of Splenda because they claim that their product contains real sugar and it doesn't.
I have researched in the past that artificial sweetners aren't good for you, they are just chemicals.
But you use your own judgement. I personally won't use anything but real sugar or Stevia, which is an organic sweetner. Sugar! Just reduce the amount. If your pregnant the aspertain is really bad for you. That being said why would I want to eat that even if I'm not pregnant?!
I believe in just being wise when using natural products rather than using chemical substitutes. try stevia they are all bad.
use stevia if you absolutely need something sweet.

even honey is probably better than the things you mention.

but stevia is best sugar, but it is best if you can slowly decrease the amount you use until you no longer need it, As to splenda or sweet -n-low . I would suggest that they not be used at all. And products that they're in not be consumed. They can cause crystallization in your kidneys. And your body can not digest them. If you suffer from migraines , check to see if the food you eat contains artificial sweeteners or MSG. Sugar. All the others are artificial. Even splenda, which claims to be natural because it starts out as sugar, is chemically manipulated. Anything that is not natural is harder for your body to process and can cause health problems. If you are looking for a sweetener that is low or no calorie but that is all natural, try Stevia. It is an herb that is 100 times sweeter than sugar and has no calories. It is 100% natural. I have bought Stevia packets at Super Walmart, but you can buy it in powder or liquid form at health food stores. Ask abot it in the herbs section. Of course, coffee isn't great for you either... :-) sugar (not those icky chemicals, yuk!)

with sugar - and anything, really - moderation is the key.

if you are concerned about a little sugar in your coffee, slooooowly decrease the amount you put in over time, you will get used to it easily. Well, white sugar would be the best.
The big drawbacks are (1) rotting your teeth, and (2) all the calories to fatten you up.
The healthiest sweetener is 'brown' sugar.
Your other 2 choices, Splenda or Sweet 'n' Low, both contain the dreaded ASPERTAME !
It causes Aspertame Disease.
Use the internet to learn about the downfalls of Aspertame. In your browser, type, " Go Aspertame Disease ".
You won't believe how damaging it is.
I hope you quit using all products containing Aspertame.
Honey is another good substitute for a sweetener.
