Does a canned fruits still have their vitamins or mineral on it like a fresh one?


Answers: It's still the fruit or veggie so I think it still has the same nutrients.. but it has a lot of added stuff that makes it not so great for you... like sodium, sugars, syrups, preservatives.. etc. It's still definitely better for you to eat fresh but if you can't it's better than nothing!!! I heard that heat and pealing removes some vitamins but there are preservatives in canned foods and the addition of sugar/syrup. if you had a choice, always go for fresh fruits. canned friuts are often served in syrup which add a TON of not needed sugars. as far as vitamins and minerals, im not sure. Everything (food) that is in a can is packed with preservatives. If you are looking for something healthier you should eat the fresh fruit.
