Y isit said red wine must not b taken wid sea food???!

Question:

Y isit said red wine must not b taken wid sea food???

Answers: I don't think it's a case of 'must not be taken', but rather that white wines complement the flavours of seafood better, and red wines for red meat. I had red wine tonight with my smoked trout linguine at a posh seafood restaurant (love those two-for-one vouchers) and didn't even think of it! :) Because the flavor is all wrong. i think you can drink whatever wine you like. Screw the socalled rules Geeze, learn to type. "y" and "why" are not the same thing, neither is "b" and "be". Wid isn't a word either, douche bag. Depends on the type of Red Wine. The wine can overpower the delicate flavor of seafood. Look for a lighter red wine to pair with it. Ask a somolier in your area. Many grocery stores have specialty wine areas now. Nonsense aesthetics: white 'meat' white wine. Salmon in particular is best cooked and served w. red wine (to me) but drinking what you prefer is the mark of character. Today, it is acceptable to drink different wines with different foods. The idea that red with meat and white with fish got started by rich snobs with too much time on their hands.
