Answers: sheep only have 1or 2 lamds per year.pigs have 18 plus piglets per year /farmers sell fat lamds for ￡40 each { i am a farmer} Supply and demand Lambs take longer to breed and reach meat weight, whereas pigs are a quick turnover. Pigs also carry a lot more meat than lambs. More popular. Look at the size of a lamb to a much bigger pig. don't really know....maybe because the pork is more common, you cand find it anywhere and of course you can use any part of it...thing that you cannot do with the lamb.... Cant see why theres far more sheep than pigs. it never was when we imported all our lamb from New Zealand They do not raise them so much here.
You can find inexpensive lamb dishes in Peru and I am sure Australia and New Zealand too, because these are countries where lamb is the popular meat. cos of all the gambolling the lambs do. they got bookies debts to pay No idea, you`d think the chops would be cheaper as they have less meat on!Dont you agree?
