Why do toasters always have?
Why do toasters always have a setting that burns the toast to a horrible crisp which no decent human being would eat?
Answers: Yeah that is so true, I have never had a toaster where I need to put the setting over 3, yet they always go up to about 8 and if you toast it at 4 it's burnt to a cinder so what happens when it gets to 8? Maybe it turns into a pile of carbon and then a diamond - I might try it in the morning! For people like my mom....or maybe for frozen foods that need that extra heat to thaw and toast cos of using frozen bread Because not all humans are decent, and the toaster has to cater for everyone. Waffles I love burnt toast..I hate warm bread which is what you get on number one setting i dunno why toasters have that setting....dont know why you can set your microwave for 45mins either. because some people use bread to make croutons, like my girlfriend....(sense any sarcasm?) basically it's for frozen bread or really tough bagels. I know even the pop tart setting which normally FRIES my pop tarts only just softens my bagels, doesn't even warm them. Still do it in front of the fire. has to be for frozen stuff.
You can buy charcoal at the local mart, no need to make it on the kitchen counter.... They have high settings for people who think that turning it up full will give them faster toast.
Reality is that you get an uneven burning of said warmed bread thats still soft and just turning crispy at the edges...
Plus when the toaster needs to catch fire, it is the best setting to put it on..... carbon is very good for you enjoy!
You would think that given a smoke detector 10 feet away can go off at the merest wiff of a burnt bit they could wire one into a toaster or at least the up market brands which could cut the heat once burning starts!
trouble is to get even light toast one needs a red hot element to get the bread toasting at all, its the timers that are useless not the heating elements. just for s&gs? WELL SOME TIMES THE NUMBER 4 IS A PERSONS FAV, OTHER TIMES THE * ** *** **** OTHER PEOPLE JUST DONT UNDERSTAND.X. the higher settings on toast are for frozen bread or for thicker slices of bread - these take longer to heat obviously... or perhaps the inventor of toast likes his bread chargrilled !! LOL. I used to have a toaster that used to cremate bread on the lightest setting. My husband lopves his toast burnt to a crisp!! he's a bit weird i know for frozen toaster pastries It's a cheap joke by all toaster makers... they're jerks and should be hung from the nearest oven rack. that is for you to ask a question dear karsivha
