Does beef flavoring mean it has meat in it?
I asked this question but I'm not getting any answers really. Does anyone have like, proof or something on a website that declares there isn't meat in mcdonalds fries? And does beef flavoring mean it has meat in it?
Answers: Global fast food giant McDonald's expressed its regret on Thursday for a row over the use of meat fat in its French fries that has angered vegetarians around the world and exposed it to legal action.
On its U.S. Web site, McDonald's said it apologized if consumers felt they had not been given complete information about the way its chips were cooked.

2 of many sites that talk about mcd`s using beef fat in their fries When an item is said to have "meat flavoring," it means that it does not contain meat unless meat is listed as another ingredient. I think it means beef fat or lard... If you're talking about bouillon cubes, read the ingredients. Who said there was beef in fries. Never heard that one!!! There is no meat in McDonalds fries.
There is no meat in beef flavouring. The word flavour says it all.
FLAVOUR Flavoured means yes.
Flavouring means no.
EDIT: Talking about beef fat in fries (or chips, as we Brits call them) if you go to a proper fish n chip shop and they use beef fat (dripping) for their chips then you will find they are THE most tasty chips ever!) current trends however, mean these shops are few and far between. Like, no.
It's sliced potatoes cooked in hot vegitable oil.
