How do i prepare for an eating contest?
Answers: Eating contest? good luck. Well a while back I watched some show about eating contests that had Kobayashi in it and other well known winners.I only remember a few things.
1. You have to eat a lot of the right kind of foods. Like lean meats, vegetables, fish, nothing heavey or fastfoodlike. You want your stomach to be able to hold food not just get fat.
2. Eat fast to work out your jaw muscles. At one of the Nathans contests Kobayashi said he could have eaten more but his jaw was sore or something.
3. Work out. It will increase your metabolism so hopefully will break down the foods quicker.
4. Some guys were eating lettuce and drinking water to streatch their stomachs...i can't remember if this was a good idea or a bad one. Sorry, maybe research it.
Good luck. make sure your mouth is moist and don't fast or your stomach will shrink. Eat lightly. Make sure someone there knows the heimlich. Competitive eaters practice regularly in order to stretch out their stomachs. Good luck on all that binging. practice moving your jaw fast. and eat lightly. Begin a rigorous work out schedule to build appetite and allow the body to become more resilient damage. To practice by eating lots of food and drinking lots of liquids. Try to keep it light eating meaning don't eat fatty foods and foods high in sugars. Basically eat a lot but eat healthy to stretch the stomach but not make you a big fat fatty mcgee.
