Is burned red pepper a cancerogen?!

Question:

Is burned red pepper a cancerogen?

can one eat any vegetable that is burned (black)?

Answers: You mean a carcinogen. That's why people haven't answered you. Lots of people eat burnt food often. Many of my favorites have burnt cheese (on purpose) etc. My mom and grandma love burnt food. Everything from tortillas, to overdone meat, and yes especially grilled, burnt peppers. In fact, they have a method to burning them to get them extra burnt on the outside. My grandmother lived to be nearly 100 years old without any cancer. Many cultures eat burnt foods, i hear a lot of cajun food is burnt, and french cuisine (especially cheeses). The fact is plastic is a carcinogen, so's concrete and asphalt. Your plastic water bottle is more likely to give you cancer than grilled peppers (and your plastic water bottle isn't anything i would worry about). Our bodies are quite strong. Everyone has a little bit of cancerous cells in their bodies at all times. Our body copes with it and destroys the cancer daily. Sometimes the cancer becomes quite active and grows, and often our body can even kill that. We breathe in carcinogens all of the time. It's not that big a deal. The carcinogens that matter are from smoking. That's where people are getting cancer. chewing tobacco and smoking. The rest isn't really anything much to worry about. However, if you already had cancer, I would avoid any possible carcinogens.

Also, know that living a healthy lifestyle and oxygen kill cancer. So make sure to exercise enough to clear out the old sedintary air that is sitting in the bottom of your lungs a couple times a day. You can do this by exercising or (if you aren't that athletic) by getting out of breath by taking the stairs. You can also breath out all of your air, hold it out for 2 seconds and then breathe in deep. Repeat this 2 times. This will do more for you than avoiding grilled red peppers. The only foods I might not want to overcook seem to be meat and potatoes.

There have been several studies done linking food and cancer, but they seem to show very minor risks in humans, too small to worry about. They seem to show bigger risks in people that already have cancer. For instance, read this article http://www.sciencenews.org/articles/2005... Know that the air we breathe is a bigger source of carcinogens and mercury than our food, but our biggest source of carcinogens by far is our tobacco products and sedentary lifestyles. Source(s):
Looking at medical studies with common sense. Studies contradict each other, but common sense tells us why (and what our next study should be in order to prove why). Please!!!! Do not eat burnt food , bad for Health
