Does anyone know of an efficient way to transfer ice-cream a pretty far distance?!

Question:

Does anyone know of an efficient way to transfer ice-cream a pretty far distance?

I want to bring some Baskin Robbins Ice-cream to my apartment, but the problem is.. the nearest one is about 2 and 1/2 hours away... is it possible to bring it here in like an ice-chest with ice water and possibly adding salt.. or am i out of it??

Answers: Call the B-R and see if they sell an insulated freezer bag...many do. If not, Sams and Costco sell them to transport cold and frozen items a long way.

I'd put the ice cream in that bag, then in an ice chest. And if you can get the B-R to set your ice cream in the big freezer in the back, not the one they scoop out of. The big freezer is much colder and will give your ice cream a fighting chance! Good luck in this adventure! I'd suggest packing in dry ice, however, and see if that helps. Sure. Let it melt and then freeze it up at home again. Or turn your car into a freezer. Works like a charm! just get a cooler and put the ice cream in and then fill the cooler with ice that would work.......wow you must really want ice cream haha 2 and 1/2 hours!! u dont want to add salt in ice/ice cream.. because it melts it.

if you want to get something from your favorite place, the best thing to do is move closer to your favorite place. a cooler ya dingbat use dry ice...it works
