Layer cake cake with buttercreme icing. Should I keep refrigerated?!

Question:

Layer cake cake with buttercreme icing. Should I keep refrigerated?

Bought a Cookies and Cream Marble Cake with Buttercreme Icing. I doesnt say but I kinda think it needs to be stored in fridge instead of on counter like regular cakes.

Does anyone know?

Answers: Yes, store it in the fridge. If you don't the icing could start to run and loosen. Most true butter creams are made of butter and shortening whipped together with sugar. The shortening starts to soften and frosting comes loose. (When getting ready to serve, leave out of fridge about 25 min to soften) yes yes refrigerate...its not critical but its best, especially if its warm out.
