I need to know for a family member.

Answers: Fiber.

Prunes, fruit in general, and whole wheat and other fiber-filled foods will help. You can always have your family member drink prune juice (which is the most fiberful) but the fruits (especially the skins) are what help clean you out. I love Flax and FIber crunch from Back to Nature. It's full of flax and fiber, and it tastes really good too! My brother said quinoa really helps with constipation, too. It's tasty in a salad with tofu and vegetables. I think the fruit especially will help. Prunes Any thing with fibre bran muffins believe it or not sugar is a natural stool softener and i give my kids chocolate if they are constipated or a little bit of sugar water and they poop within 10 minutes. prunes, prune juice, raisins, Baked beans and FYI-do not eat any peanut butter; it will make it worser. Anything with fiber, or prunes or prune juice Corn is great for that. yah a family member jk. they should eat rice and also have them eat allot of fruit and only fruit to help clear their system. like some one else said lots of fiber and also tell them to drink alot of water . good luck helping your family member with that problem. have a great healthy day ice cream, milk, prunes, tea does it for me...to name a few Grapes, any ruffage, cabbage, anything with fiber, apples. bran. kiwi helped when I was pregnant :) if you know the fruit PAPAYA, it's very effective.i think you could find one in an asian store/grocery.
you could also try slimming tea..
just one cup will solve your constipation problems
happy pooping! Warm (works better) prune juice, or eat raisins. A soft diet like a pumkin and spinach risotto, no chilli. Figs, prunes, prune juice. Or just buy Flax oil capsules, 1000 mg, they are not only a good source of Omega 3 oil but they have the side effect of regulating your bowels. Coffee.
