Mine is ''manchester tart'' (ive had a few lol) its a pastry base with jam on the bottom and custard 'set' on top mmmmmmmmmm. by the way i'm from manchester lmao.


Answers: Originally from Ithaca, NY. My favourite is Baklewa [similar to Greek Baklava] but made in South Carolina-Lebanese style. Layers of flaky, buttered Fillo dough, a layer of chopped pecans, and drenched with syrup with rose water flavouring. My wife's Lebanese grandmother made it for Christmas as a special treat and passed the recipe down. It's a once a year treat.
Next choices would be oatmeal mint-chocolate chip cookies using the old Quaker Oats recipe and adding mint-flavoured chocolate chips or a real German-style Pflaumenkuchen made with fresh plums. So hard to decide. Ambrosia creamed rice straight from the tin - I have lived in several countries but this has always been a favourite. Yummy L.A, Calif. Any mexican food (tamales in particular) And beer, Lots of beer! Blimey, i've not heard of Manchester Tart for ages! It has coconut on it too doesn't it?

Anyway, i'm from Manchester too but live in the U.A.E.

My fave comfort food would be chocolate or curry! I'm From Everett, Washington
PIZZAAA.....& Cake & Coclate cookies ! No way I am from Manchester and Manchester tart is one of my favourites too how's that for coincidence! From Scotland and living in Dublin and miss my roll and square sausage with some brown sauce on it.........anyone tried it? Kent and chocolate. Long Island! Lomi Salmon..............(gosh I could for some right now)..;) Canada: potato chips (all types), apple turnovers, egg tarts (chinese pastry), or cheesecake (most types---vanilla bean is on top of that list)!! Depends on my mood. Bannockburn, Scotland , Where Braveheart was set. I live on the Battlefield.

gotta be choc chip cookies yum! :OP Chocolate surely. I very much like "alfajores". These are kind of cookies made in my country, Argentina, covered and stuffed with different products, generally covered in chocolate and stuffed with mousse, peanut butter or, more traditionally, "dulce de leche" (a kind of caramel made of milk and glucose mainly). Actually, sweets are my passion. I have them when I'm happy or sad.
I have never tried Manchester tart but I'm certainly going to, now you've made it sound so good. ;) Texas....chicken & dumplins, chicken fried steak with white gravy, and Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla ice cream with fresh strawberries. from all over...tea with milk and sugar and fresh baked bread!!! Vegas. Italian. I am English in China and I would just love some apple (or even rhubarb) crumble with cream or ice cream or even custard. San Jose, CA.
