In a box of organic free-range eggs I bought, every single egg I've used has 2 yolks. Why?!

Question:

In a box of organic free-range eggs I bought, every single egg I've used has 2 yolks. Why?

I've used 5 out of the dozen so far and every one has had 2 yolks. Are these just extra-happy chickens? Something in their diet? I'm not complaining, needless to say--I'm just curious!

Answers:

Genetic predisposition for twins (twin yolks) -- plus, you're right-on with the "extra-happy chickens" idea. Free range chicken eggs taste sooooo much better than conventional ones!
