It is not just the cost of pesticides that influence the cost of raising a crop ,besides pests need to be kept at bay one way or another,natural materials serving as pesticides can often be more expensive to process than chemicals,strange but true in many cases.The main reason however you pay more is that organically raised crops & livestock,lack the abundant yeild you get from engineered sources ,so therefore the farmer will not get back what he has spent unless he charges more for his produce ..
