Is lemon, lime and bitters alcoholic?!

Question:

Is lemon, lime and bitters alcoholic?

I've heard that it is and isn’t, does anyone know?

Answers:

hi there,
i think you'll find only if true angostora bitters is used - it has a small amount of alcohol. That is the browny orange colour they add at the bar. I brought a bottle of the bitters myself to add to lemonade and lime cordial and made my own at home - yum, the bottle of bitters said that it did contain a tiny amount of alcohol. The pre made ones they sell at the service station and in fridges at take aways dont state on the bottle they have alchohol, I think they must use a flavouring. Have a nosy on a bottle of bitters that u buy at a liquor store and you will see the content, bitters is really good for use in stews and pudding too, costs around $13.00-$16.00 per bottle. The real thing is much nicer, oh and use original lime cordial, not the coloured green stuff.....if making your own mix.
