What's the difference between vanilla and white vanilla?!


Question:

What's the difference between vanilla and white vanilla?

These are 2 separate flavours of ice cream in tesco's own-brand range. I prefer white vanilla, but i don't know what the difference is, except colour obviously. Is that the only difference?

The one called 'vanilla' doesn't contain black specks of vanilla. it is just sort of creamy yellow, whereas white vanilla is as white as paper.
