Does Green Tea have a lot of caffeine?
I just bought a carton of the Lipton Green Tea with Citrus. I am wondering compaired to regular tea, does green tea have much caffeine. I have bad migraines and regular tea usually keeps my migraines to a minimum.
Answers:
Green tea does not contain as much caffeine. This is not simply because its a younger leaf as stated above. It has more to do with the fermentation process. Green tea goes through a much shorter oxidation process.
Your "regular" tea, is really black tea and has been allowed to completely oxidize.
White tea is from young tea leafs to correct the person who said that of green tea earlier. This is also not oxidized after the leaves are picked.
