Can fresh raw oysters be vacuum packed and frozen?!


Question:

Can fresh raw oysters be vacuum packed and frozen?

or should they, as suggested elsewhere, be covered in water before freezing?
i have a food saver home unit i could use, but don't want to ruin them!

Answers:

I would freeze them in water.if you remove the water they will dry out.Unless you have one of them vacuums that can be stopped at a certain time.I like mine frozen in water.really I like them right out of the shell....
