What is chicken salt?!

What is chicken salt?

ive seen reference to it on here several times now, i take it, it is some sort of american thing


Answers:

Its an Australian thing. Most chicken and chip shops in South Australia use it rather than normal salt. Its a blend of salt , herbs and spices.
I think the main brand over there is Mitani. You can actually buy it from Tesco.
