Freezing meals?!

Question:

Freezing meals?

I'm having my kitchen modernised, so i won't be able to use it for 3wks. I desperately need advice on foods i can cook then freeze before they start. I don't want to rely on fast foods or microwave meals. I love pasta but not sure you can freeze it.

I also have a combination microwave.

Answers:

most food can be cooked and frozen. Remember that after freezing them you will not get a crisp outside if you had one before they froze. If possible leave some moisture( from a sauce or the juice of a veggie) to help heat the meal when Microwaving it. Also remember that you are reheating(cooking) a second time in the microwave. Do not over cook the meal the first time. A small amount of under cooking may do the trick. Pasta need more moisture because it absorbs it . If you remember that when cooking with a microwave that it cooks from the inside out, and that for the most part it is steaming the food with it's own moisture , you will do great.
