Question:

So, if drinking water sold in plastic bottles is unsafe because it absorbs chemicals?

what about foods? Baby foods? saran wrap? etc?

Answers:

The real problem with plastics food/drink containers is HEATING them. The heat causes breakdown of the petroleum compound which is then absorbed through your digestive system. Not great for your overall health. Heating food and drink should be done in glass or ceramic. There are some nutritional chemists that believe food should never be stored or frozen in plastic either, to be on the safe side - or in aluminum, for that matter.

Toxic chemical residue is everywhere. Its the price we pay for living in a technologically advanced society. The best thing to do, is become aware and limit your exposure. And above all, don't stress yourself by worrying about it. That's what compromises your health the most.
