Does heavy whipping cream go bad?

I love the stuff but my husband says if it goes past it's expiration date it's no good. I told him as long as it has not been open the cream is fine. I've consumed it months past the expiration and it tastes just fine, I'm still alive! Help me prove him wrong!

In my experience, the more fat a milk product has, the longer it will stay fresh. Heavy or whipping cream lasts a really long time. If you leave it long enough it will go off, but that is a loooooong time, and you will be able to smell it.
